Sony KDL50R450A 50-Inch HDTV

Sony KDL50R450A 50-Inch HDTV

Sony KDL50R450A 50-Inch HDTV Features:
This TV is perfect and gets the job done. The primary reason for my purchase of the TV was for console gaming and watching shows and browsing the internet on my PC. Gaming is crystal clear and fluid on my XBox 360. For those of you looking for a TV with low to no input lag, this is it.
I use a DVI to HDMI cable to connect the TV to my PC. The resolution is great as well as the connectivity.
The TV doesn't come with a whole lot of extra junk and that's what I like. The menu is very simple and easy to navigate through. Bravia sync comes in handy when you pair it with another Sony compatible product like a soundbar - which I obviously did. HDMI ARC is very useful since there are only 2 HDMI inputs on the TV. It allows me to connect my TV to my soundbar, and from there I connect the Xbox and other devices to my soundbar.
Overall, very impressed with the TV so far. Good job Sony.

VIZIO M501d-A2R 50-Inch HDTV Customer Review:
This television has a great value for the price. it has a large display with an amazing picture, refresh rate, and its smart! Yes this is my first smart TV so i find it pretty neat that I do not need to tether my laptop to my TV to watch media. My only concern was the brand because in the past Vizio never did very well, but at price. However this year they seem to have really stepped up their game. They actually have a good looking TV! Friends and family have older cheaper versions with huge bezels and horrible aesthetics. The M series is all screen with the internals to help the value. My only cons are the responsiveness of the controller. I have to point it at the lower left corner for it to respond. Another con is the latency when connecting to my phone. It streams very slow and I'm not sure why. Also some apps buffer to often for my taste like youtube. I think when I connect an ethernet cable to the TV this will eliminate some of these problem. I'm no expert in TVs, but I believe I made a good choice. I would recommend this to anyone especially those on a budget.

Panasonic TC-L50E60 50-Inch HDTV Customer Review:
I own four flat panel TV's which three of them being used in my living room pretty much always at the same time. This one replaces my lg lm7600 for strictly my console gaming on ps3 and Xbox 360 & Xbox one and ps4 when those finally arrive. The three in my living room are all Panasonic. My girlfriend took over my Panasonic 55st50 to play on the Wii U, the Panasonic 65vt25 is used mainly for DirecTV and blu ray and is a phenomenal set just as is the st also. I was going to get a Panasonic s60 for my gaming but so far this 50e60 has exceeded my expectations big time to the point that I may veer towards led instead of the zt60 I was planning on getting to replace the vt25 but I will probably stick with the zt60 as its replacement as its not going to be used for much gaming. The picture on the e60 rivals both my plasmas and beats out the lg for sure for gaming. The black levels are better on the st but the e60's are pretty darn good. Input lag is nonexistent using game mode and I calibrated the set using lcdbuyingguide.com picture setting recommendations which appear to work very well. I highly recommend this set for gaming. The picture is bright with great color reproduction and no motion problems that I've noticed. Definitely another 5 star tv from Panasonic!

Panasonic TC-L50ET60 50-Inch HDTV Customer Review:
I bought this TV without being able to see it in the stores as nobody carried this 50" model. I needed a TV for a family room/kitchen. It needs to be seen from multiple angles and not be too reflective from windows. I took back a top of the line Samsung because of reflections. This is an IPS LED tv which has an advantage of not bleeding colors when viewed from the side. The problem is, it does have a lot of reflections. Our kitchen lights showed up clearly on the screen. I am replacing a five year old Sharp TV that had a matte screen and worked well in that room. I am having a hard time finding a good tv that is not reflective. It seems to achieve the best picture, a more reflective screen is needed, so I think I have to downgrade the model to get less reflections, otherwise a Plasma tv would be best. The lower end Sharp and Samsung are less reflective so I guess I'm headed that direction. The TV itself is beautiful and easy to set. The colors are great and are very even when viewed from the side.

This is the greatest TV I have ever seen! Have only had it for 3 days and already don't know how I lived without it! Could not believe when I watched the first movie on it! It is unbelievable! It seems like you are right on the set with the actors! I've never seen a picture that clear or that defined before. My grandson set it up for me and took no time at all. Now we can stream Netflix in a second. 3D is awesome also! And the price was unbelievable!

LG 50GA6400 50-Inch HDTV

LG 50GA6400 50-Inch HDTV

LG 50GA6400 50-Inch HDTV Customer Review:
Wifi, Google Apps, Magic Remote, 3D, LED, and 50" for under $1,000. What else can I say? The picture is crystal clear, and the speakers are much louder than my Panasonic Viera. Now the nits:
- wish I would have gone bigger, but that's on me. 50" is still great but not gaudy.
- wifi was buggy when I had my router not broadcast the SSID. Once I broadcast, all good.
- remote is not a true universal...you have to use the IR Blaster cables and keep one of the cables by the device you want to manage. Small price to pay for full cable box integration with netflix-like icons.
- apps are pretty complex. But hey, you get a chrome browser, several apps, control of your receiver, etc. that's never going to be simple.

Oh, and you can stream Netflix from your iPad just like Apple TV! Very sweet TV is a huge upgrade from my 42" Viera.
